Online Hyperlink Checker

This service provides W3C link checking of online files. The checker reads HTML/XHTML files and extracts hyperlinks and anchors (# bookmarks). The service checks that all hyperlinks are valid, as well as checking whether anchors are repeated in a single file.

Simply enter the URL to the file in the box provided. If you specify path only, then the default home directory file name for the server (e.g. index.html, default.asp, etc.) is assumed. The checking service can also check recursively (spider) through files: enter the path to the parent file and specify the depth of recursion in the box provided.

If you are unsure about which validation options to select, then we would suggest you stick with the default values as we have set them. You can find out more about W3C link checking by clicking here.
