3. Visitors to the ITnews web site

We do not collect any personal information from any visitor to our site unless that visitor intentionally and deliberately provides it. We do not gather any personal information from visitors who are simply browsing our site and under no circumstances do we collect any sensitive personal information related to racial or ethnic origin, criminal past, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, or sex life.

We welcome comments from the public about our site and about any Internet business we have certified. When a visitor sends such comments to us we collect the visitor’s e-mail address which we use to respond. Depending on the nature of these comments we may request additional information such as the visitor’s telephone number and mailing address.

As mentioned above, from time to time we may conduct surveys to request information and opinions from visitors to our site. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and visitors may decide whether or not to disclose any information.

We do not use cookies to determine a visitor’s identity or to track a visitor’s browsing patterns. We do, however, use cookies to control ITnews features and functions available to visitors. These cookies are restricted in that they do not identify the visitor.
