About ITnews

ITnews, founded more than ten years ago, is aimed at managerial and technical professionals working in IT across all industries. ITnews was conceived to inform and educate – whatever your discipline within IT, we are sure you will find ITnews to be a valued resource. And we are proud that ITnews remains a free service for its readers.

ITnews has greatly extended its news service. You can now access around 4,000 stories every day. The service ‘follows the sun’ updating every minute to ensure that you always have the most current information to hand.

We have also expanded the subject content for the service. All the IT-based news topics remain, of course, but we have also included well over 100 other news topics, covering current affairs, business and finance, as well as general interest, entertainment and sports news.

Registered ITnews members can also configure their own preferred news topics as part of their My ITnews page.

For developers, ITnews includes a range of specialist tutorials, programming language references and online utilities.

There is a lot for everyone on ITnews. We have built the service to be fully compliant with the legal requirements for data protection and accessibility for the disabled. You can also select from a range of themes for the site to best suit your colour preferences or needs. We value your feedback, so please let us know how we could improve the service further.

For the technically minded, you can find the philosophy behind our recent site redesign, how we built the site in compliance with web standards, and the tools we used to build the site and run the service.
  • Site Accessibility
Web accessibility for the disabled is a critical issue. Yet this moral and legal responsibility is overlooked by most web site operators. So we decided to support accessibility to the fullest extent possible.
  • Contact Details
Finally, we have compiled essential contact information for ITnews. Here you will find access to a dedicated email form and a feedback form. We have also listed several direct email addresses for specific contact.
